The next morning we head to Santa Monica. Walked down the pier, the beach, and a great market on 3rd Street.
After more amazing noodles in Thai Town (our second stop at the same restaurant in the past 20 hours) we took our 33 year old non-AC bus for 4.5 hour cruise through the Mojave Desert towards Vegas. It was 106 degrees out, but Lucy’s engine stayed nice and cool. We didn’t. But it really wasn’t that bad. We tried out our poor-man’s AC for the first time:
It has a couple fans and a mister. It helped. And with all the wind coming in and the fact that you never get sweaty since it’s so dry, it really was fine.
Went to see the Cirque Du Soulei show KA that night at MGM. I saw it with my dad a few months ago and it blew my mind, so this time I got to let Tun experience it too. When you’re in Vegas, see KA. You won’t believe what you’re seeing half the time.
